Two days in Oshkosh this year!! Took a while to dig through over 500 photos, and crop them a bit. All photos taken with a potato, so if you don’t like it, shut up and go to Airventure yourself next year!!

Oppo constantly reminds me of how much I like planes.

If you think you like planes now, go fly one and you’ll really be hooked.

The Camel is my favorite WWI plane, and that paint scheme is wild . The Corsair is my fav from WWII.

I agree on the Camel, but for WWII there are so many beautiful airplanes, I don’t know how I’d pick one. I certainly love the Corsair.

It’s the wing design. For me, it projects a deadly kind of panache.

It’s pretty. As is this:

Great shots, thanks for sharing. I wonder how many of those MiG-17s are out there. I shot this one, with Randy Ball at the controls, back in 2013. But the nose numbers are different.
Love that Corsair livery, too.

Nice shot!! I took a few pictures of the Mig- 17 flying past during the airshow, but none really turned out, thanks to the mediocre camera and even worse photographer.
The MiG and F- 86 nose to nose were being se t up for a presentation comparing and contrasting the two, but I didn’t stick around- I needed to get all the way across the show to visit the Fun Fly Zone to watch the STOL aircraft play.

I flew in a small plane in college, won the flight at a charity auction.
About 15 minutes into the flight we suddenly dropped several feet, and I quickly realized I needed to be back on the ground soon to avoid vomiting.
Years later I paid for my dad to have a flying lesson, and was invited to join them, and this time was fine, but that first experience really turned me off the idea of flying small planes.

It’s not for everyone - and on hot, windy days, you kinda feel like a leaf being blown around a bit, but I like it.

Nice framing! thanks for sharing. What were you shooting with?

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Meteor in person, that’s awesome spotting!

Samsung Galaxy S6 - and a lot of cropping. I’ m no photographer. Took about 500 pictures and just edited the ones I liked.
Non-warbirds will be tomorrow, thanks!

Me either - sadly there was supposed to be a Dehavilland Vampire AND a Venom, too, but the Venom crashed the Friday before Ai rventure, and I * think* the Vampire was owned by the same organization, so it cancelled.
As a result, the Meteor was there, but buried on the Warbird flight line, with * nothing* marking what it was.
RIP Venom pilot. He was killed in the crash.
